The editors announced the launch of a new online peer-reviewed open access journal called Decolonization: Indigeneity, Education & Society on September 17, 2012 in Toronto. The journal aims to center Indigenous ways of thinking and challenge dominant ideologies by supporting Indigenous knowledge and communities. The first issue features global scholarship on Indigeneity addressing topics like education, the environment, politics, and cultural resurgence through an Indigenous lens.
